  2. Hands-ON instructions to fly from Meigs to Champaign.

  4. 1. Open CGX-CMI controller file.
  5. 2. Open At CGX flight simulator situation.
  6. 3. Size Flight Simulator View1 so that you can see FS-ATC Destination window.
  7. 4. Press COMMAND-SHIFT-8, and wait for instructions.
  8. 5. ﾉtaxi to runway 36 and hold short. Go ahead!
  9. 6. Hold short at the stop line and wait for instructions.
  10. 7. ﾉfly heading 180. Climb and maintain 10000ﾉ takeoff and immediatly turn make a climbing turn. Don't exceed 250 knots.
  11. 8. At 10000 wait for instructions.
  12. 9. ﾉcontact Chicago Center READ: Press COMMAND-SHIFT-8
  13. 10.    ﾉclimb and maintain flight level 210. Full speed and climb 21000. The aircraft symbol appears in the Destination window showing your position on the course. Use this instrument to keep on course.
  14. 11. ﾉcontact Champaign approachﾉ READ: Press COMMAND-SHIFT-8
  15. 12. ﾉVOR (110.0) Localizer 109.10ﾉ Descend and maintain 10000ﾉ Tune NAV2 to 110.0 and NAV1 to 109.10. Then reduce speed and descend to 10000 about 2000 ft/min.
  16. 13.ﾉturn heading 270. Maintain 2000 or aboveﾉ Turn to 270 normally and continue your descend until you reach the ILS altitude. Then follow ILS
  17. 14. ﾉturn right intercept ILSﾉ contact towerﾉ Go ahead. And yes, press COMMAND-SHIFT-8.
